On-Line Counselling

As a qualified and experienced Counsellor in Harlow  I offer, where appropriate, ‘on-line’ face-to-face’ counselling to individuals over 18 living anywhere in the UK. (using MSN / Windows Live Messenger video calls or Skype®)   I also take clients from overseas, but only counsel in the English language.

Please note that, I do not offer counselling by email as it is not generally considered to be very effective.

To be effective, on-line counselling needs to be carried out in a structured, pre-defined way. If we decide that on-line counselling would be helpful to you, we will form an agreement on the timetable, length and frequency of the counselling sessions.  This ensures that we are both prepared for the on-line sessions, and that confidentiality is maintained.

Sessions last 50 minutes and cost £40.

On-line counselling is especially useful in certain circumstances, for example if you are housebound or have a severe mobility problem, or live in an area where transport is difficult.

To enquire about, or book an Initial Consultation call please ring me on the telephone number at the top of this page.

Please feel free to call me and discuss any questions you may have about ‘on-line’ counselling.

I work within the Ethical Framework and Guidelines for

Telephone and On-Line Counselling as laid down by

The British Association for Counselling and

Psychotherapy.

TECHNICAL NOTES:

For on-line, face-to-face video sessions to work, you will need to have a  computer (PC) running Windows XP or Vista, A webcam, Speakers and a reasonably fast broadband Internet connection.  You will also need to have a Windows Live Messenger account (free)
